a 72-acre development, is located at the intersection of County Road 30 and Highway 5. Waconia is a suburb of the Minneapolis, Minnesota, located in Carver County.  A Target store, located directly south of the Legacy commercial development, is scheduled to begin construction in 2007.

With a wide range of services available and specifically catered to every individual; independent living, assisted living and memory care, the needs of residents will consistently be met.

 

The Regent at Waconia’s unique concept of “aging in place” will allow residents to truly have a sense of home free from worry of any changing health status that may require additional services. If a resident’s health should change, assisted living services, as needed will be delivered directly to that resident’s home or provided within the facility.

The Assisted Living option at The Regent at Waconia will provide a special combination of residential housing, personalized supportive services and healthcare.  Regent Assisted Living is designed to meet the individual needs of those requiring help with the activities of daily living, but do not need the skilled medical care provided in a nursing home.

Regent at Waconia Assisted Living options will provide residents with the care of a well trained staff, 365 days a year.  Services provide will be comprehensive allowing residents to select only those services needed. Many services will be provided in individual residences, which include a convenient kitchen and 24-hour emergency call system.  Regent at Waconia Assisted Living units will include:

The Regent at Waconia will include Regent Care Suites, which are generally included in Regent assisted living buildings.  Regent Care Suites provide an alternative to residents who require more services that can be provided in a typical assisted living environment. Additional staffing levels and individual services allow a resident to remain at the Regent instead of requiring a nursing home option.  The Regent at Waconia Care Suites include:

  • Apartments with a residential atmosphere

  • An environment providing freedom of movement for residents

  • Visual cues to orient residents to their surroundings

  • All utilities including electricity, water, sewer and trash collection

  • Window coverings and wall-to-wall carpeting

The 72-acre master development is situated on the shores of the historic 3,000 acre Lake Waconia. Walking paths and sidewalks provide connections throughout the development offering a pedestrian friendly environment. Residents will enjoy convenient access to downtown Waconia, a common dock area on Lake Waconia, a proposed regional park and a bevy of nearby commercial services including a proposed Target store.

At the Regent at Waconia, transportation will be provided on a daily basis to any surrounding retail areas and amenities. Specific travel services will also be available to residents as requested.

 

Project Construction and Unit Mix

The Regent at Waconia will consist of 98 units located on approximately 2.68 acres within the Legacy Village master development.  The majority of the units at Regent at Waconia will consist of one and two bedroom independent and assisted living units while the remaining 14 units will be committed to Care Suites.   Units will range in size from 685 to 952 square feet.  The total gross building area will encompass approximately 141,000 square feet with 37,400 and 28,000 square feet of that space dedicated to common areas and underground parking.  There will be a total of 60 underground parking stalls at the Regent with the remainder of parking requirement service by surface parking.

The Regent at Waconia will be constructed as four-story, wood-framed building.  Project materials will include a mix of hardy board siding, brick and vinyl. 

Regent is currently working with the City to obtain final municipals.
